Nkauj Hmoob United Michigan

Michigan is a state where you won't see a lot of Hmong people. We are a small community here in Michigan. Before creating NHUM we were Paj Hli Nra and it was just us 3 Lee sisters dancing. Because of the small population of Hmong people in Michigan along with us Lee sisters not socializing much to other Hmong girls we didn't know how to interest more girls into joining our team. Paj Hli Nra was a strong Dance Team and lasted about 5 years until we finally made a change to our name as Nkauj Hmoob United Michigan. We want to give out a special SHOUT OUT to Diary Vue for helping us out into creating NHUM. Without her help we wouldn't be able to extend our group. We are truly thankful for everything you have done for our group. -NHUM 💚 NHUM first started as a group in 2020. When the first year just started we all were preparing for our first competition here in Michigan, but sadly because of covid we all couldn't meet up for practices. Everything was very difficult because everyone had work and school. We had to do virtual practices online for many months. Thankfully this year 2021 was a great year for us! We had our first performance together as a whole group. We all had so much fun together. Despite of all the mistakes we had up on stage we all still had a good laugh about it! I see some much potential in this group and hope that one day we will be able to share the same stage with other talented Dance groups in out of state! Thank you to all NHUM fans and followers! We appreciate all your supports, we cannot wait to show you all what we got coming next! Thank you ! -NHUM💚
