Faith Nkaujhlintsa Vaj

First Name:
Faith Nkaujhlintsa Vaj
Hi, my name is Faith Nkaujhlintsa Vaj. I am currently a Senior and this will be my 4 year doing Tradition Hmong Dancing. A few things about me, I love dancing, singing, poetry, photography, politics, and most importantly helping out my community. On my free time I listen to music and truly admire helping out my school. I love keeping things positive, staying humble, and being kind to myself and others around me. I started my dance journey as a young girl, taking classes for ballet and tap. When I was younger I fell in love with dancing and I always imagined myself being on stage one day. Over the years I started to branch out and try other genres of dancing, which included K-pop, hip hop, and pop. I’ve always loved Traditional Hmong Dancing, in fact that’s what inspired me to start dancing. It wasn’t until I got into High School and I joined my first group. I fell even more in love with dancing and my own culture. I’ve taught Hmong Dance to a small group of girl at my school and I’ve accomplished the greatest feeling of representing my culture. I’ve danced for about 13 years now, the one thing that has inspired and kept me going was the dream that I’m chasing to make a reality. I’m proud of where I am today as a person, a dancer, and a student. “Great Dancers Are Not Great Because Of Their Technique, But Great Because Of Their Passion”
