Brenda Yang

Hello, my name is Brenda Yang and I'm 16 years old. I began as an inexperienced Hmong dancer and now have been part of Viv Ncaus Koom Siab for over five years. My dance has definitely evolved throughout the years as I have so many dance sisters who make the experience fun and challenging at the same time. As I unfold my passion for dance, I learned not only about the importance of the display of arts but also the importance of my own culture and identity. The most exhilarating experiences has been learning different styles of dances and being able to explore the different parts of traditional clothing from all over the world. I love the thrill of standing out on the stage and performing with my dance sisters.
