Kennis Jasperson, born on February 20, 2004, is a junior guard for the Wheaton College women’s basketball team and is majoring in Psychology. Kennis, the daughter of Therese and Cory Jasperson, grew up in a tight-knit family with three siblings: Jennie, Kelton, and Riley. Athleticism runs deep in the Jasperson family, as her brother Kelton is an outside linebacker for the Southern Virginia University football team. Kennis is bilingual in Hmong and English, which brings a unique cultural perspective and a strong sense of identity to everything she does. When choosing a college, Wheaton stood out to her for its welcoming community and the genuine connection she felt during her campus visit. She was especially drawn to the coaching staff, whose energy and commitment to valuing her as both a student and an athlete made Wheaton the perfect fit. Kennis’s dedication to her sport, her studies, and her family roots shines through in everything she does, making her an invaluable member of the Wheaton community and a rising star on the court.
